Joyfully

"And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, "Zaccheus,
hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today."
So he hurried and came down and received Him joyfully."
Luke 19:5-6 (ESV)

In Christ Jesus name I pray, Father, thank you for the reminder that Jesus already knew Zaccheus' name, he already knew Zaccheaus was seeking Him. Let me be in awe that you know my name. To hurriedly receive you just as Zaccheus did- joyfully. Amen.

Self-Examination

"So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.  That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.  Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world."  1 Corinthians 11:27-32

Prayer:  In Jesus name I pray; Lord thank you that you know the secrets hidden in my heart, those things the world would quickly condemn me of.  Father, I beg you to reveal to me the dark places in my soul, the hardness of my flesh that keeps me no different than this world.  Not for the arrogance of my flesh, but that I would be more like your son.  ~ Amen

In All Things

Let my heart, my mind and my mouth forever praise you Lord! Help to never forget to come to you with my joyous energy and even in my tired spirit and to know that you have already begun to answer my prayer before I even know what I am praying for.

Rejoice always! Pray constantly.
Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Always

Remind me to always praise you Lord!   To praise you when hearts are breaking, to praise you when I don’t understand, to praise you when I am sad and when I am filled with joy.  To praise you through tears and in moments of laughter.  To praise you that you are the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.  To praise you because you alone are sovereign and true!

"It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
and sing praises to Your name, O Most High.
It is good to tell of Your loving-kindness in the morning,
and of how faithful You are at night."  Psalm 92:1-2
