Scripture Memory #6!

Hi everyone!

Oh how this year is flying by! Sunday is St. Patrick's Day which means Spring has Sprung (unofficially) here in Arizona! Don't miss yesterday's blog on all the fun ideas for celebrating this holiday!

If you are memorizing Scripture with us this year- or want to start- we choose a verse on the 1st and 15th of every month! Today is #6! Share yours in the comments section!

Mine is the following:

"O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you;
I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure."
Isaiah 25:1 ESV

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea that all God's plans are wonderful- they are of OLD - purposed long ago, and they are FAITHFUL, and altogether sure. My plans are never this way! My plans are often spontaneous and sometimes amount to nothing! NOT SO with our great God!

May you have a blessed day and glorious weekend!
Chrissy

  3. If anyone goes to the St.Patrick's Day parade on Saturday, look for my daughter, Sarah! She's in the parade along with the other contestants that were in the Irish pageant from a few weeks ago.

    And I LOVE the true story of St. Patrick. Focus on the Family's Adventures in Odyssey does a great re-inaction of the story of St. Patrick, too. We try to listen to it every year. :)

  4. Oh and my scripture I'm working on is Romans 8:3-4 (I'm working on memorizing this whole chapter): "For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."

  5. "It is good to give thanks to the LORD; to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night. Psalm 92:1-2 ESV
