Scripure Memory #5

It's time for our next verse! What is yours?

I'm trying to be obedient to The Lord and steer my heart away from its easy inclination toward discouragement... So my verse this time is is John 14:1 in the NLT:

"Don't let your heart be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me."

I find it convicting that Jesus is urging us strongly to vigilantly keep our hearts from being "troubled".  In the New Testament language, it really asserts this with a fierceness.... More like "God forbid that your hearts be troubled and distressed. Be unwilling to be distressed, perplexed, full of anxious fretting."

How is this possible? Clearly it's only a viable reality by trusting in Jesus!

Let's hear your verses! Post away!
